Dixie Classic Fair

Today Janaa and I spent the day at the fair.  Unlike the zoo, the fair is more fun when you have kids.  I took Janaa last year and she so enjoyed the rides.  This year was even more exciting. Her art work was selected to be displayed at the fair with her school's art exhibition.  She was so excited. The first thing we did was go find her art work...It's a butterfly, just in case you didn't know.  I was so proud of her.

Our next stop was the ferris wheel.  I'm sure I've ridden one once in my life, but I can't seem to place. Overall it was our first ride that we'll both remember. It was in the perfect location too. Wake Forrest's football field was just across the road. It would've been really cool if the game had started.  She enjoyed all of her rides and of course we didn't skip a corn dog lunch.

A quick update on the adoption.  We submitted our papers to the clerk of court on Monday of last week. We're praying they fall into the right hands. It's common for Raleigh to send papers back.  We're going on 2 years in the process State-side and praying that we do not need to change anything so we can move on with this part of our lives.  If everything goes well. We should have an adoption decree in 10 days, and the adoption/birth certificate in another 8+ months.  The delay with paperwork is due to job cuts on the state level. Anyway, That's the latest.  Thanks for sharing in our lives!
